A petal's final breeze

In a world on the brink of collapse, a single petal breaks off from the decaying world tree. With the hope of steering the world off the path of destruction, the petal drifts down, merging into those it touches.

Through living the lives of those it has become, the petal slowly inches towards the world's salvation..

However, after its most recent lifetime, in which its direct actions led to a great tragedy befalling the world, the little petal became weary and hesitant of its own existence. No longer willing to carry on the burdens of the world, the little petal would not descend again..

Fate however, is rarely so gentle. As the petal entered an unconscious lull-like state, the undeniable turmoil of the world underneath continuously swallowed the fragile beings below, their cries for salvation no longer being answered by the exhausted petal. Only one heartfelt plea would manage to strike deep into the little petal's soul. Forcefully summoning it into yet another vessel.

Though finally finding herself in a body strong enough to wield the petal's true strength, the power to interact with souls, It lacked the resolve of its past lives to take action.

"Have it your way, I'm not going to try to change the world again! Just let me live out a normal life.."

Petals on the ground eventually wither away.

But, before it truly departs. Petals only need a small gust to fly once more.

May the waning autumn wind carry the petals through the winter, into a new spring.

Though the petal no longer wished to fly, the world will always spin round and round. Bringing the winds of change to the four corners of the globe.

Even if a petal falls from its tree, it can shield the saplings beneath the soil, still yet to bloom.

"I'll be your breeze."

Thus begins, the petals final struggle to save the world.

May the petals wash the world anew.
