When Ella's friends start to go missing after they plan to do an English assignment on her uncle's murder, she starts to suspect the murderer is targeting her and her friends. Her point is proven when the first friend to go missing is found in an abandoned farm, dead. Found next to her is a not with all of her friend's names in a mysterious order, each given a time and date. Ella's is the only one in red.
After that note is found Ella's locker that tells her she needs to find who the killer is before her time, or else she will watch all of her friends die, and then herself.
