Hunger is the oldest prayer.

Before men called to gods, they starved.
Before the first word was uttered, they gnawed.

Something ancient was born from this-a darkness with violet eyes and a mouth that only knows how to consume. A poet, fallen from the heavens, walks the earth with trembling hands and empty ink. His task? To whisper salvation through a murder he cannot afford to fail. But the ground remembers its dead, and hunger never forgives.
