Hellfire

As a witch, it was expected Susan would have hellfire - a vicious magic that's the bane of all immortals. However, hers is so wild she risks turning everything around her to ash. A Bright witch, they call her - hell incarnate. The only person keeping her in check is Lucius Vortigern - the vampire lord of Bath and a man with too much power for Susan's liking. In return for being the only thing preventing her going up in flames or being slain by her own kind, she acts as his sword to guard his city and the blood-bag to sate his addiction. As a result, Lucius and his own are hers to protect, be it from their own mistakes, Lucius' dangerously flaring tempers, the wolves that bay for Vortigern blood or the monster that sleeps in the depths of the house. This is a supernatural, erotic romance, and an experiment of classic vampire tropes. Book one of the Oldworld series. These books are stand alone and can be read in any order. Cover is my own art (updated 2024). Written between June 2020 - Dec 2022 Author's note - Please be mindful of what you're saying when commenting. I'm happy with helpful criticism, spelling/grammar pointers, questions or simple chatter. However, a tirade of needless, unhelpful complaints and just outright rude commentary is not welcome. My stories are terrible first drafts, they're going to be riddled with issues, so just politely highlight if you feel there's a problem. I'll listen and likely take on board the criticism. And if you're not enjoying it, that's fine, just move on and thank you for giving it a shot. This is a re-write of 'Lust for Her Master's Blood' and, while the gist of the plot is mostly the same, a lot of how it happens, the lore and the characters have been completely rebuilt from the ground up. The original can be found in the Old World Original Drafts for those who are curious or prefer it.
