Broken Symbol

In this alternate universe, Izuku Midoriya inherits One for All from All Might, just as he does in the original timeline. However, the pressure of living up to the legacy of the Symbol of Peace becomes overwhelming. Despite his progress, Izuku's insecurities begin to fester, and the constant threat of powerful villains like Shigaraki and All for One pushes him to the brink.

Izuku's need to protect everyone, combined with the immense power of One for All, Warps his perception of heroism. He begins to believe that the only way to truly create peace is to take full control-to eliminate not just villains, but anyone who could disrupt the fragile order of society. The overwhelming burden of responsibility causes a shift in Izuku's psyche by becoming a force of absolute authority.

As his power grows, so does his desire for control. Izuku gradually starts to disregard the rules and ethical boundaries that heroes are meant to uphold. His quirk evolves, drawing upon the darker aspects of previous One for All users, allowing him to master the full destructive force of the quirk far earlier than expected. His former mentor, All Might, is horrified to see the once-hopeful young man lose himself to the belief that only he can maintain order-by any means necessary.

Izuku eventually rebrands himself as "Nemesis," the self-appointed protector of society, ruling with an iron fist. He justifies his increasingly authoritarian methods as the only way to keep the world safe, believing that if he can crush all opposition, both villain and hero alike, he can finally bring lasting peace. His classmates and former allies are forced to confront him, torn between the friend they once knew and the villain he has become.
