Gods never fell in love with mortals. You might look at this and say, 'Apollo, how many mortal lovers have you had?' Yes, Gods can have one silly moment of lust with mortals, but very rarely are they in love. Love is a powerful word that is not just tossed around. Love means forever, at least I see it that way. Love is what I felt with my beloved Daphne, the curse placed on me by Eros and his cruel arrows. I was in love with Daphne, yet she was cursed to want to have nothing to do with me. Sometimes I wonder if it really was a curse, or perhaps I just wasn't good enough. Either way, she had ran. It was my fault I know, my beloved turning into straight bark. I took those laurel leaves and made them into a symbol, making sure my love was remembered forever. That was love, the love gods usually never really had. I had felt this love once, and didn't know that now I would feel it again.

Being burdened with remarkable beauty might seem like a blessing to some, to me it seems like a curse. Being a spartan prince and having to witness many men and Gods fall in a trance at my grace, I try to keep humble yet forever looking for the one person to call my own, a person to stay by my side, a person to truly, love. As I continue on, I know that person will be right there for me. Waiting until our timely rendezvous finally connects us together. As one.
