A world where heroes and villains are more than just fiction, rather a normal part of society. A world where Gods and other myths are more than just tales told, rather it being common knowledge that they exist, and the explanation of humans receiving powers, or "Blessings". This is especially true for the people of Nividia City, Australia, where the biggest Hero Organization Headquarters, or H.O.H, is located.
Kellan Hurstiff one of many who were blessed by a God at birth, who granted him resistance from most fatal injuries but for the price of all physical pain he experiences to be doubled. Because of this Blessing, he was qualified to be a Hero.
Kellan and his friend Vivian end up getting kicked out of H.O.H after failing to capture the Necromancer Bounty Hunter, Carlos Scarletto, for the sixth time. Getting kicked out of H.O.H spells the death of a Hero's career, though that doesn't stop the two from forming R.A.T, a freelance hero team.
As a new dangerous threat arises wiping out Elite heroes, R.A.T must form an alliance with Carlos to figure out the new villain's identity and stop them before any more lives are lost. With this alliance, Kellan gets to know his infamous Necromancer rival a little better...
