A world where heroes and villains are more than just fiction, rather a normal part of society. A world where Gods and other myths are more than just tales told, rather it being common knowledge that they exist, and the explanation of humans receiving powers, or "Blessings". This is especially true for the people of Nividia City, Australia, where the biggest Hero Organization Headquarters, or H.O.H, is located.
Kellan Hurstiff one of many who were blessed by a God at birth, who granted him resistance from most fatal injuries but for the price of all physical pain he experiences to be doubled. Because of this Blessing, he was qualified to be a Hero.
Kellan and his friend Vivian end up getting kicked out of H.O.H after failing to capture the Necromancer Bounty Hunter, Carlos Scarletto, for the sixth time. Getting kicked out of H.O.H spells the death of a Hero's career, though that doesn't stop the two from forming R.A.T, a freelance hero team.
As a new dangerous threat arises wiping out Elite heroes, R.A.T must form an alliance with Carlos to figure out the new villain's identity and stop them before any more lives are lost. With this alliance, Kellan gets to know his infamous Necromancer rival a little better...

The Gun For Hire's Bounty
Tempest has no human bone in her body. She is devoid of all emotions, making her 'job' as a guns-for-hire easy- at least, that's what the heroes call it. She doesn't see it as a job but as a lifestyle. After all, that is all she's ever been surrounded by. Blood, money, drugs, psychos, more blood and money. Blood money. All of that shit. The only problem is that the heroes disagree with her so-called 'lifestyle' and start a special task force in her name called D. O. A. Best known as the operation Dead. Or. Alive. The person specifically tasked to bring her in is none other than the great hero, Phoenix. He is best known for his smarts, good looks, and being a virtuous savior. But among people like Tempest, he is known as another overpowered, overrated hero no one can escape. Not even those blessed with super speed or teleportation can escape him. So, it should be effortless for him to catch her since she has no superhuman abilities. Except it's not. Tempest has a deadly virus no scientist, no government, no god can ever get rid of. So, when she finds out she is being hunted down by not only the hero society but the face of it, she turns to biological warfare. The few other people with the disease would never dare to do something like that, but Tempest would. If it guarantees her coming out on top, she will. In the not-so-distant future evolved humans emerged. Those who had powers that broke conventional laws of physics, chemistry, and biology were dubbed E.H.s (evolved humans); it was wondrous for a time. Of course if there was power to be used there would be those who misuse. To that end the evolved humans police department was formed to deal with all crime committed by or connected to E.H.s, a force entirely comprised of E.H.s trained to stop and capture any E.H. breaking the law. Adlet Blacksteel is the newest edition to the E.H.P.D., his skills and experience as a hostage extractor makes him an invaluable edition. Joined by his new partner, Jenna Jones, he pursues a secretive manhunt for the Soldiers Of The New World, an underground E.H. crime organization that has a hand in all that is illegal, and their mysterious leader: String, who, seemingly, has eyes and ears everywhere. While Adlet and Jenna intend on doing this by the books, their unsavory past with two of String's captains may muddy their judgement, or, more accurately, it already has. As String's ambitions grow beyond just controlling the city's underbelly Adlet and Jenna are forced to take action with an ally he did not desire. While prejudice against E.H.s reaches it's peak because of a horrific tragedy, the Soldiers of the New World waste no time to expand their reach and rally for their cause of taking over the city.
