Hsiang Long, a skilled martial artist from Taiwan, finds himself on a flight from Taiwan to Boston with his beloved mother. But something goes terribly wrong, and for reasons he cannot yet comprehend, he dies-again and again. Inexplicably, Hsiang Long is pulled back to life each time, as though he has a 'respawn' button, like a character in a video game. He doesn't understand why this is happening, but his repeated deaths have shaped him into something more-an unstoppable warrior.
In these countless cycles, Hsiang Long has become the ultimate fighter. With each death, his skills sharpen, and his instincts become more refined. He's had to think like a gamer, treating every attempt like another level he must beat. The creatures that roam the plane, once fellow passengers, have turned into something monstrous, and he knows they must be killed for his survival.
Despite all his strength, the greatest challenge lies ahead. Hsiang Long knows that his mother's safety depends on him finding the true path-a way to break the cycle of death and uncover why he's trapped in this nightmarish loop. With each attempt, he inches closer to the truth, hoping that this time, he will finally reach the real ending, save his mother, and free everyone else on the plane from their fate.
