The word hit me like a thunderclap, freezing every nerve in my body. I stared at him, wide-eyed, unable to comprehend if I had heard him right.
"Did I stutter?" he asked, his voice cold and unrelenting.
My hands clutched my lehenga instinctively, my breath hitching as his words settled over me like chains. "P-please... no," I whispered, my voice barely audible.
"Don't make me repeat myself, Luna," he said, stepping closer, his towering presence suffocating. "This is your punishment for running away."
Tears blurred my vision as I shook my head, falling to my knees. "I'm sorry," I cried, my voice trembling. "I didn't mean to-"
"Sorry isn't enough," he cut me off, his tone sharper, harsher. "You disobeyed me. Do you think I'll let that go unpunished?"
I sobbed, my hands trembling as I pressed them to the cold floor. "I can't... I can't do this," I begged, my voice cracking.
"You can, and you will," he growled, crouching down so that his face was inches from mine. His dark eyes pierced through me, leaving me bare without him even touching me. "Do it, Haseena. Or I'll make sure you regret it even more."
His words burned into my mind, twisting my fear into something I couldn't name. My hands trembled as I clutched my lehenga tighter, my tears falling harder.
Would he really force me? Was this who he truly was? Or was it me who had pushed him to this edge?
