Book 1: A Summer to Move O
-
Aria Taylor is determined to move forward after ending a five-year relationship without shedding a tear or looking back. At 23, she dreams of becoming a renowned novelist while juggling her master's degree studies at Lancaster-Dreighton Central University. But this summer, she unexpectedly finds herself drawn into a friendship with Russell Rivington Jr., a 16-year-old high school student and her mother's former pupil. Russell is mature beyond his years, a dedicated athlete, and secretly harbors feelings for Aria.

Despite their comfortable rapport online, and in person, their conversations are tinged with a lingering awkwardness. As they navigate their time together-sharing moments of laughter, trust, and vulnerability-Aria begins to rediscover herself, while Russell learns to manage his unspoken emotions. The summer unfolds as a journey of growth, understanding, and the subtle shifts of a friendship that might just become something more.

NOTE: I REVISED BEFORE YOU GO, SO THERE WILL BE SOME MISINFORMATION IN THIS ONE REGARDING LEON & ELIZA'S RELATIONSHIP. I WILL FIX IT SOON, THOUGH! * I would HIGHLY recommend reading BEFORE YOU GO and THE ONE YOU FIGHT FOR before you read this novel. This novel is a criss-cross between them and will include some major spoilers!* Leo Sangster has a bucket list tucked away safely, folded between the pages of his favourite book. And it's been there for nearly fifteen years. He hasn't tried to read it. He can't. He won't. Because that one piece of paper is a large piece of his father -- someone he's never met and never will be able to meet. But as Leo finds himself heading to Whistler, BC to explore where his father was born and who he was before he died in a car accident, he begins to wonder if that bucket list could give him any clues. Aria Madden is the daughter of the now-retired, famous NHL player, Luke Madden. Anyone would consider that a lot to live up to, but Aria is content with her current position. In January, she'll be competing in the Winter Olympics for Canada's women's hockey team. Over the summer, she's going to be training in Whistler, BC with the rest of the team, all while staying at her aunt's house. But even though it seems like she has everything under control, Aria is stuck in a whirlwind of anxiety. While she's happy and excited that her hard work has paid off, she's worried she won't live up to her father's legacy. When Leo and Aria cross paths on a fateful summer day, they're thrown into the chaos of an unforgettable summer adventure -- filled with charming and mysterious people, astounding views, and alpine air. But as the summer continues on and the heat is amped up, undeniable chemistry begins to brew between the two of them. But what happens when summer ends and they have to go their separate ways? Will they give up on the chemistry or will they find a way to make it work?

Trina is a writer, one of her books finally made the best sellers list, so why can't she seem to write another one just as good. She's spent every dime she had, thinking that there would be more to come but even books on the best sellers list stop selling over time. What she needs is another novel, what she's stuck with is writers block. Seeing no other option, she's forced to move back in with her parents. Of course, she could do worse, I mean come on they live on a beach. It's absolutely beautiful with its quaint cottages and sandy beaches that stretch for miles. Trina left this small Island for the big city life long ago after something tragic happened. She has kept this secret for years and intends to die with this secret, until she gets drunk one night and confides in an old friend, Sebastian. Sebastian is sexy, hot and successful, he's a doctor, she could do worse right? And then, there's Alex who she was in love with ten years ago when she ran from the island, does she still love him, or should she leave the past in the past and find happiness with Sebastian. Does she even see Sabastian as more than just a friend? Alex is an ex-Marine turned Sheriff of the island. He's seen more than one man should in their lifetime and is a little broken from the experience. Add that to the fact that Trina broke his heart ten years ago and you get an angry man with a chip on his shoulder. Does his cold exterior match what he's really feeling inside, or has he never quite gotten over Trina? Only he knows the truth as he keeps her at arm's length.
