Kassandra Naberrie has returned to Coruscant to protect her sister, Senator Padmé Amidala, from a looming threat. 

Anakin Skywalker grapples with distrust, unable to sense Kara in the Force.

Bound by duty, Kara and Anakin must navigate dangerous political tides, unseen enemies, past traumas, and their initial dislike for each other. Meanwhile, Obi-Wan leads the investigation to solve the mystery of Padmé's killer and finds more than he anticipated. 

As they uncover the existence of a secret Clone Army, encounter bigger political plots, and face unimaginable loss, Kara discovers the secrets of the Force and her connection to it. Through it all, she finds herself growing closer to Anakin. 

Will Kara be able to protect Padmé from the darkness lurking in the galaxy, or will her own secrets and feelings disrupt the delicate balance of their world?
