When a hotel visitor asked her to throw away a journal, Mever instead sent the book to the real owner. AL, who had not received a letter from his family and friends for a long time, was deeply moved by Mever's letter. He promised to grant any wish she asked. Coincidentally, Mever's literature teacher asked the class to write a letter to a stranger, befriend that stranger, and with the stranger's consent, read that inspiring letter to the class. Mever asked Al to do exactly that. However, Al didn't reply on the scheduled date, and when he did, he warned Mever that if she wanted to be his friend, she must promise first to keep his secrets to the grave. Most importantly, she must never ask or see him in person. Curious, Mever agrees to Al's condition but soon regrets making that promise after she learns of his dangerously alluring secrets . . .

He emanated a heat that, despite everything, still felt affectionate, still filled with longing and desire every pore of her body. She was unable to fear him, to hate him, to lose faith in him. A notion shone in her mind. They were right. The languishing poets and the lyrical songwriters. The passionate dreamers and the stubborn optimists. The amorous authors and the rom-com filmmakers. The yearning fools, the lovelorn teenagers, the outrageously naive, the hopelessly romantic. They were right all along. True love never dies."

In which two ex-step-siblings reconnect after just about blowing up their family the first time around... Three years ago, Maddie fell hard for Jacob Isaacs, the smartest boy in her school. The only problem was this: Her dad had quite literally gotten engaged to his mother. The two tried to dampen the flames of their burgeoning attraction for each other but not before they got caught and were the talk of the town for months. After the fall out, Maddie moved away to try and start her life over and not be known as the girl who got caught doing it with her 'brother' at prom. She hasn't seen her family in ages and intends to keep things that way. Jacob, on the other hand, has worked hard to accomplish everything he's ever dreamed of. He's stayed close to home, done exceptionally well at school, and is adored by just about everyone who meets him. There's only one problem: There's a Maddie-shaped hole where his heart used to be. But no matter how hard he tries to reach out and find her, he can't. She won't let him. He let her down and gave up on them when she needed him most. And she's not ready to forgive and forget. But then Maddie's dad passes and she's forced to come home for his funeral. It should be a quick visit. She intends to make it one. But Jacob has other plans. He let his girl slip through his fingers once and he won't let that happen again. So now he has to convince her to give him one more chance. After all, they're not related to each other anymore.

"Are you stalking me?" His deep voice asked. "You wish, that would mean I actually thought about you enough to wonder where you are." I looked away smugly. Max moved closer to me until his face was right in front of mine. "You're saying you don't think about me?" He smirked, fully knowing what the proximity was doing to me. "I don't, why? Did you want me to?" I Regained my composure as I moved even closer, our lips nearly touching. ~~~ Alexa is a normal girl who just wanted to get through school without any trouble. Warning: this story is sometimes very cliché and has a few of my own twists on it. The guy might make you cry, laugh or blush and wish guys like him existed in real life. (Well, at least further into the story.) This story contains swearing and some slightly mature content. You have been warned.
