This is a little project of mine. It's not long. However, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did writing and researching for it.

The Threshold is a short story that tells how the Complex was created and its origins. Ever since the overwhelming growth of the world, especially the US, since the 60's; The decreasing amount of space and storage has been a problem. After lots of thought and research, the idea for the Threshold was born. However, the journey for this goal of having more space wasn't smooth sailing. The team working on this project spent years testing and developing the Threshold to eventually generate the Complex. They eventually got it right. However, was it already too late to solve their new problem: a broken world?

⚠️this is a weirdcore/dreamcore type story, so please read with caution if it may cause you to dissociate!!⚠️ A young girl and her little sister have glitched out of reality, and are now in a liminal place. The girl has been here before, and is determined to get herself and her sister out of this place. However, when she runs into old friends, she finds out that she is one of very few humans who has successfully glitched here twice (let alone by accident). Now she needs to find out if 'home' is the place she grew up in, or if she really does belong here. She needs to make some tough choices. Stay here forever and send her little sister out on her own, or leave and risk injury, even death, if she gets taken through the backrooms for a third time after arriving back 'home' to reality.
