To her surprise, the watch glowed in the moonlight, and its hands moved in a strange sequence: one tick at one, two ticks at eight, a pause, three ticks at eight, and four ticks at two.

Unbeknownst to her, the same watch was held by a young man with initials of E.P., 142 years earlier, ticking in the same pattern. As Sera observed the watch, she felt a mysterious connection through time, hinting at a deeper intertwining of their lives that would challenge her beliefs about love and destiny.
