Jade had stuck at the lab for as long as she could remember. It wasn't a bad life though, she got plenty of freedom and lived comfortably. The only rule she had to follow was that she and the other children in the lab weren't allowed to interact or meet with each other at all for one specific reason; she, along with all the other children had powers that many would consider dangerous.
Around the time Jade turned 18 her life was thrown into chaos when one of the children gathered her and a handful of others and broke out of the lab. As the group of teenagers make their way out into the real world, they find that the world they vaguely remembered from when they were kids had fallen apart, a deadly virus having infected the lives of many innocent people turning into mindless monsters who haunt the shadows and roam in the dark.
They quickly learn that the place they had called home for most of their lives wasn't everything they made it seem like it was. The lab, also known as NOVA, held dark secrets and was run by a ruthless mastermind who wanted revenge on the world for stealing the one thing in their life that they held onto dearly.
Together, this brave group of teenagers will have to fight to survive and learn to rely on each other after years of being alone.
