Our Silent Vows
She was mine long before she knew it. I had been raised in shadows, in a world where power was survival and choice was an illusion. But then there was her. She slipped into my life unexpectedly and defiantly, her eyes too bright for a town like this one. She was unafraid of what lay beneath the surface, thinking she could walk away and resist the pull. But every step she took only bound her tighter to me. She was delicate but stubborn, fierce enough to face what others ran from, even if she didn't fully see it yet. She was the only thing I had ever chosen. I would break anything to keep her, everything, even her illusions of freedom. Because in a world that offered no choices, she became my one certainty. I will carve that truth into the world, with blood, if I have to. R. Writings Of A Wandering Drug Addict
This book is aa book of my most inner thoughts. Thoughts about the things that hurt me, scare me, trigger me or break me the most. Thoughts that have made me break and crumble. Thoughts that have made me either dive deeper into my addiction or have made me relapse over and over again. There are thoughts of my darkness moments that I almost didn't make it out of with my life. There are thoughts of how I've been hurt over and over and how I've dealt with the pain. I write my thoughts so I can try to heal what I see as broken in myself. But I also write them because I know that I am not the only one in this world that feels the way that I do. I pray every day that I write that I am slowly healing myself and that maybe I can help heal someone else with the same struggles. I'm hoping maybe my words on paper will help someone who thinks they are alone realize that they are not. That there are others who feel the same pain and have made it through that they can too. There is always a way to survive the darkest of days even when you dont think there is. Im just hoping to maybe let people know there is always away to survive. That death is a permanent solution to a temporary problem or feeling. Every dark night eventually ends in day light. There is no way that I can escape this now; no way that I can possibly escape her and all that lies behind the darkness in her eyes. I've gone too far. Inexplicably, I have become entranced by everything that she is, especially the red that we share. She is like the moon: haunting, beautiful, and so far out of reach. I have walked her through the gates of hell and, still, she has made no attempt to turn back. She likes to push my buttons, to put me on edge in an attempt to feel the red that resides within her. My Love for her is insane. I can't let anyone take what's mine, even if he is my brother. I freaking waited for her for five years, only to get her engaged to my Brother. She is mine, Mine.
