Akisada Isamu, a scion of the venerable Isamu bloodline, was born and raised in the land of the rising sun. His family had a storied history of aiding the Belmonts, a bond forged through countless battles against the forces of darkness. This alliance persisted through the ages, even as the world around them changed. However, the outbreak of the Second World War brought an end to this era of cooperation.

At the tender age of 20, Akisada was drafted into the army, thrust into the brutal realities of war. On the frontlines, he proved himself a skilled marksman, his rifle an extension of his will. Yet, the horrors of war left an indelible mark on his soul. He witnessed atrocities committed not only by his own side but also by the enemy. The plight of comfort women, the slaughter of innocents, and the myriad war crimes he encountered haunted him, leaving him torn between his sense of duty and his moral compass.

As the war raged on, Akisada's internal struggle grew. He grappled with the weight of his actions and the suffering he witnessed. The once-clear lines between right and wrong blurred, and he found himself questioning the very nature of his mission. The Isamu family's legacy of honor and the Belmonts' relentless fight against evil seemed distant memories in the face of such overwhelming darkness.

In the midst of this turmoil, the question loomed: would the Isamus and the Belmonts ever join forces again? Could their ancient alliance withstand the ravages of war and the moral complexities it brought? Only time would reveal the answer, as the world teetered on the edge of an uncertain future.

Akisada's journey was far from over. His path was fraught with peril and difficult choices, but his resolve remained unbroken. The legacy of his ancestors and the hope for a better world fueled his determination. As he navigated the treacherous landscape of war, he held onto the belief that, despite the chaos, the bonds of honor and friendship could endure.

[Male Reader X Maria Renard.] WARNING: This story contains plenty of narrative elements that are far more sinister and disturbing than my other books. Reader discretion is advised. The French Revolution. Late 18th Century France, 1792. France has seen a time of peace, until now. The cobblestone streets of Paris are soon to run red with blood as the populace rises against the oppressive vampire lead aristocracy. But freedom comes at a high price. Due to massive amounts of food purposely being held back from the public, the fall of a Regiment that once kept the peace, the manipulation of the people on a grand scale, and hunger induced domestic violence that spreads across France like wildfire, nowhere is safe. The aforementioned violence starts to boil over to the point where people are killing each other in the streets either in organized or non-organized ways. Including French Nobility using politics as a weapon to kill anyone whoever so slightly irritates them, or say the wrong words. Innocent people are sent to the guillotine as a result of the chaos, but not everything is as it seems. The counter-revolutionary aristocracy has forged an alliance with a terrifying Vampire Messiah, who promises to devour the sun, which will in turn darken the earth permanently, and allow an army of vampires and night creatures to crush the resisting humans and enslave humanity to only exist as their food to eat. Regardless, in the wake of The French Revolution, it leaves Richter, Maria, Edouard, Madeline, You, Annette, and Tera with no other options left but to band together, prevent the sun from being eaten by the so called "Vampire Messiah", to survive by any means, protect the people, and of course, to extinguish the creatures that lurk the night. Every last one. Good luck surviving this war, you'll need it. Castlevania Series © Konami & Netflix. Assassin's Creed © Ubisoft. All songs used in this story belong to their respective owners.

"A sword will only be as strong as the sheath that will keep it from breaking when it is at rest." *** As the daughter of a yakuza shatei, Mai knew the stigma that would follow her. As such she worked hard to get a perfect score on Shirahime Girl's Academy entrance exams, and she excels in Nihon-buyō in following her dream to be a professional dancer. Though aware of her own position, Mai was happy with the life she had. She could compare it to being in Heaven. But unfortunately, it does not take long for her heavenly life to plunge into Hell with the sudden death of the beloved Oyabun...and the chaos that emerges with his successor. The only thing that seems to keep her from falling completely into the abyss is the presence of a handsome but quiet young man. Chikafusa is feared by many. Not because of anything he personally did, but because his father served as a "cleaner" for the Awaosamu-gumi. Chikafusa himself wanted to keep a trouble free life and pursue his passion to becoming a veterinarian, but he is afraid of the reputation his family has, and because of the way others look at him. He is scared that he will inevitably follow in his father's footsteps. The only person who seems to see beyond his name is Mai, and her gentle nature and innocence constantly puts him at ease. It is because of her that Chikafusa believes that he can make his dream come true...even as the world they know plunges into chaos. The living Heaven and the living Hell can be deceiving. One can achieve both through their own means or through the machinations of others. But the sword protects the sheath during battle, and the sheath protects the sword during peace. Neither can survive the collision of Heaven and Hell without the other. - Word Count: 52,116
