THE BOUNTY HUNTER: The Story of Varik (SBHH Prequel)

A prequel story taking place before the events of Security Breach: Halloween Hack, we explore the fully fleshed out backstory of the main story's protagonist, Varik. Prior to moving to Hurricane, Utah, the vagabond swordsman appeared in the small town of Twoson. Despite being frowned upon by most of the people, Varik still forges his way through life; kept company by his only friend--Penny--the only employee at the local pizza parlor. One day though, things change for Varik when he is dragged into working as a bounty hunter for the town's corrupt mayor. The mayor explains to Varik that sightings of strange creatures have been recent and rampant, and after one family was recorded to have been mutilated by one of them, Varik is given the location to the estimated origin of the monsters. Reluctant to accept this mission, Varik is left no choice but to take on the risks. Little does the bounty hunter know that he is embarking on an unforgettable and mind-warping journey that will forever plague his mind...

Will Varik kill the monster? Or perhaps...Is he the real monster?

This story is a retelling of the Earthbound: Halloween Hack by Radiation (Toby Fox) It is highly recommended that you have played or are at least aware of the original story that Toby wrote. There are also multiple creative liberties here that I took revolving the stories of not only EBHH, but also the original Earthbound (Mother 2) as well (partially) the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise.
