Sarah had settled into the monotonous routine of her job as a receptionist at a therapist's office. The days blurred together, the same faces, the same stories-until she met her. The new patient was unlike anyone Sarah had ever seen. Slightly masculine, striking in a way that was hard to pin down, and carrying an air of quiet mystery. Sarah prided herself on reading people--years behind the desk had sharpened her instincts--but this woman was different. There was something off. Something...suspicious. Jordan had a singular focus: gather the evidence, take down her target, and get out. Her undercover work required precision and staying under the radar. But every time she walked into the office, her sharp senses picked up on the gaze. Sarah, the receptionist, always watching her. Every session, those curious eyes lingered, silently probing as if they knew more than they should. And now, Jordan wasn't sure who was hunting who. They navigate a tangled web of truths, revelations, and complications. What started as a straightforward mission, for Jordan quickly spirals into something far more dangerous. The lines between duty and desire blur, especially when Sarah becomes more than just an observer. And with each distraction, the target--the man Jordan was sent to expose--edges closer to slipping through her fingers. If she's not careful, he'll walk away free, and Jordan will be left with nothing but a compromised mission...and a woman she can't ignore.

Save Me

This is actually supposed to be the 5th installation of The Arrangement series but it's the third book I wrote. Feel free to read this while I write the actual 3rd part. Jordyn Kane-Evans is a 27 year old detective working with the Special Victims Unit. When she was younger she came across one of her mums old journals and when she found out about how she had been assaulted she knew right then that she wanted to put creeps like him behind bars. Whilst she had a successful career putting rapists away she wasn't very successful in the dating department. Even though what she did was quite noble, the women she dated couldn't handle it. They worried for her and couldn't take the long hours she had to work, sometimes working through the night. Her mothers worried for her, they just really wanted their Angel to settle down and find a good partner who could be there for her since she would need someone to emotionally support her considering how draining her job could be. Alex Carter, 28, is a prosecutor who takes on all rape cases and occassionally acts as a defence attorney especially when police brutality is involved. She has a deep hatred for cops. Especially Detective Kane-Evans and her sleazebag partner Detective Rivers. But she has no choice but to work with them especially in rape cases. Unfortunately, Detective Kane-Evans was the best in her field. Alex found her absolutely gorgeous with her long dark brunette hair which was almost black and her blue green eyes, too bad she was an asshole cop just like the rest of them. She hated it whenever she would try and flirt with her. It was totally unprofessional and completely uncalled for. No wonder why everyone calls cops pigs. But then something bad happens and she finds the only person who she can trust and who can protect her is Detective Kane-Evans. She soon finds out that maybe, just maybe not all cops are bad. Read at your own risk. This is a wlw book and has adult themes like sexual assault and murder.
