Coby Maybank never really understood why his dad didn't like him, it wasn't like he did anything to hurt him, not on purpose at least. Coby always tried his hardest to please his father but his dad couldn't care less, Coby was just a mistake to his dad, he was never meant to be born. One word from Coby's mouth could be life or death for him, one wrong move and he'd turn into a punching bag for the night.

He hated everything about his father, the way he looked, his voice, the way he'd dress, the slight tremor in his hand, the speck of blue in his eye.. But most of all, he hated his anger, his drinking problem because those were the things Coby received from his father.
