Chuuya Nakahara, known for his cold demeanor at Bungo High, isn't interested in new people-especially not the strange transfer student, Osamu Dazai. Dazai is quiet, bandaged, and clearly hiding something beneath his fragile appearance. Despite his best efforts, Chuuya can't ignore the unsettling feeling that Dazai is falling apart. As rumors swirl and secrets unravel, Chuuya finds himself drawn into Dazai's world, realizing that sometimes, the people we try to avoid are the ones we end up needing the most.

Lyssophobia || Soukoku

5 parts Complete

Started: June 6, 2023 Finished: July 23, 2024 Lyssophobia: Fear of going insane or mad. Osamu Dazai was a young man with a crippling fear of going insane or mad known as lyssophobia. This fear kept him away from socializing, so he decided to lead a more solitary life. With the pressures of his family he accepted to get a therapy. So he had no other choice but to open up to a stranger. However, a young man named Chuuya listened his story intently, accepted and understood him in a way he never thought was possible. Suddenly, talking to Chuuya didn't seem as daunting as it used too. No matter how many times his friends told Chuuya to stay away from Dazai, Chuuya already started to fall in love with him. He wanted to reach out to Dazai and hold him, but he knew it was not his place. After all they had nothing but a doctor-patient relationship. So, Chuuya had to keep his feelings to himself and continue to be a professional. However, Dazai also sensed that something had changed in their relationship. He had also found himself falling in love with Chuuya, but his lyssophobia held him back from expressing his emotions.
