She could taste her blood, tangy metallic flavour clear on her tongue, her vision struggled to keep focus. All she could make out was the burning building perched precariously on the cliff, flames licking the sky. She couldn't move, her body wouldn't respond, the pain was almost too much to bear. But she had to run-she had to survive.
The winter storm bit at her skin, unrelenting, as if eager to consume her, bury her, keep her there forever. She had no desire left but to let it.
The unforgiving bitter cold, promised to swallow her whole, and for a fleeting moment, she thought maybe she'll let it this time.
Ana Rosalia Valdez was one of the most gifted teenagers you could ever meet, she wasn't a genius like Tony Stark, or of superior strength like Steve Rodgers, but she had one God given talent which had supported her all her life - Survival.
What happens when a 13 year old runaway ends up in the grasp of one of the deadliest organisations in history and becomes a spy for HYDRA, fighting to stay alive. Will she destroy this organisation or will she die a pawn in this horrific game of power?

Bucky Barnes starts to remember his life before he became the Winter Soldier. After the events of Washington, he had wanted to run away and hide. He knew people would come looking for him, especially Hydra and the Avengers. Hidden away in a remote town, on the outskirts of Maine, Bucky tries to live a simple life without drawing attention to himself. Little does he know, he had been followed. ***** Alexandria (Lexi) Adams, was one of the best shadow agents of SHIELD. She was one that Fury trusted with everything, including her judgement. Fury knew that having the Winter Soldier on their side, would be beneficial, not to mention, it would stop Rogers from turning down missions he was needed on. Lexi follows Barnes from a distance, helping to set him up with a home and job, without him knowing it was her. She had moved in to the apartment across from him, playing the friendly neighbour, which was a feat in itself. Lexi was never considered a friendly type of person. It was her mission, to help keep him safe, recover his past, and obtain any Hydra information. She makes sure to bump into him, while shopping for groceries, introducing herself, but she finds he's very closed off and guarded. Can she get through to him, or will he up and run again? When Hydra operatives come crashing through their complex, Lexi must make the choice, to stand and fight, or run. Will the two work together? Rescuing the fraile figure, they return to the jet victorious, only to find their rescue, is none other than Ana. She was barely conscious, and from clear signs, she was not there willingly. Taking her back to the tower, they try to help her, only to find that she has no memory of them, and now holding her own power. Thor wants nothing more than to destroy every single person who had hurt her, his need to protect her burning within him. The only comfort she finds is in his brother and the metal armed soldier, needing them both to protect her. ***** Being in a new place, surrounded by so many people, she felt overwhelmed, terrified that they would hurt her like the others. She feels her wrists are now free, and that power within her, was now accessible again.
