Located in a picturesque small town in Northern Virginia, Proudley College is one of the nation's most prestigious HBCUs*. A film and media student with a love for art and photography, second-year Indy Helaire still isn't sure just how she earned her spot there. When a professor assigns Indy to write a report on a cold case, Indy learns about ex-handyman Lamar Pine, who has been on death row ever since he was found guilty of murdering a woman in 1978.
