Maid to be his bride : How I became a duchess

After dying she found herself in the body of a twenty-two-year-old maid. Unlike most people she wasn't scared, in reality, she was happy. Her old life was nothing but suffering to her. In this new life, she swore to be more well-spoken and happy.

However, the well-spoken part got her in a pickle. She had one altercation with a man at the farmer's market. She didn't think much of it because she wasn't planning to see him again.

That was until she did. What's even more crazy is him asking her to marry him after only just meeting for the second time.

" This has to be a dream right " she whispers to herself.

" No, this is real. I want you to be my wife " he asks with the box opened on one knee.

She looked at him bewildered. Is he on drugs? She hardly knew him and now he was proposing.

" Uh your grace, respectfully we don't know each other. I can't marry a man I don't know nothing about " she says with shaky eyes.

" What do you want to know? I'll tell you everything about myself" he says before grabbing her hand.

Her eyes were so big she wouldn't be surprised if they fell out of her head.

" You know most gentlemen court woman they fancy before springing married on them," she said making him stiffen.

He looked at her before smiling.

" You are indeed right, I will court you instead " he replies.

She looked at him wide-eyed. She watched as he took the ring out of the box before sliding it on her finger.

" Hold on to this for me ? " he asks innocently.

She was about to refuse but she was cut off by the Butler.

" Unfortunately I have been summoned but I will see you soon, my lady," he says kissing her hand.
All she could do was nod at him.

He shot her a reward-winning smile before excusing himself.

Once he was gone she looked at the ring on her hand with shock.

What the hell just happened !!!!
