"Kenzie, look at me," Austin said grasping my face between his hands, "I could never love anyone but you. You're my lighthouse and I'm just lost in the dark without you."

"She's beautifully chaotic in a way that felt both refreshing and intimidating." -Austin Sawyer
"He's a stubborn boy, I'll admit that, but I now know the true meaning behind 'don't judge a book by its cover.'" -Kenzie Hunt

Austin Sawyer has bullied Kenzie Hunt since middle school. She's weird and nerdy and has fewer friends. But something about her lures him in to learn more. Maybe Kenzie can teach him how to love.
Kenzie hates Austin. He has made her life a living hell. How could anyone stand him? Everything he does ends up hurting her, what will this time do that'll prove her wrong?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After being paired up together in a big, Junior year history project, Kenzie is forced to endure the hardships of being partners with her bully. Austin dislikes that he has to be around the one person starting to drive him crazy.
Kenzie loves sports but she can't play any after a knee injury sidelines her. Instead, she settles for going to watch games. That includes Austin's beloved baseball games. Over a time span, however, Kenzie's anxiety gets worse and Austin's pressure gets heavier.
Will they find a haven with each other as they weave their way through sports, choir competitions, their peers, and anxiety? Maybe it's not up to fate for them to be together.
Either way, Kenzie still gets to look into his beautiful blue eyes.
