On an otherwise peaceful summer day in Tokyo, the tranquility of Ginza is shattered by a brutal attack, leaving thousands dead in the streets. Initially believed to be a terrorist attack, the truth emerges that the assailants are legionnaires, Orks, and dragons emerging from a mysterious gate that has opened in Ginza, revealing a portal to a parallel world. With news of the incident spreading worldwide, Japan accepts assistance from the United States who dispatch a Marine Expeditionary Unit to Tokyo, determined to push through the portal and confront the unknown. What lies beyond the Gate is more than just an enemy, it's an entire civilization, steeped in its own conflicts and politics. As the clash of worlds intensifies, the struggle is no longer just about vengeance. it's about the fate of two realms forever changed by the opening of the Gate.

DISCLAIMER: I do not own Gate nor the images I'm using. I'm writing this story based on the Anime, I never read the manga or the novel. Despite the title, the story introduces a vast expansion in the world and lore of gate as well as changes, but everything remains true to the Gate formula. At first It was supposed to be only a Gate X Marine fanfic but over time it developed into an alternative plot line diverging from the original so don't be surprised why the first season strictly sticks to canon.
