Casey Cruz is a 15 year old girl that has never been able to fit in her entire life. The only friend she has is Jess Harrison ,who is 16 years old, and she is a literal goddess. Yes, Casey maybe have a terrible outer exterior but on the inside she is one of the best and down-to- earth people you could ever meet. When she hangs out with Jess at the mall sure guys only approach and converse and ask out Jess but she doesn't mind all she needs is Jess at the end of the day. But soon Casey is starting to get tired of always being the unapproachable ugly friend and during the summer before high school Casey decides it's time for a makeover.
