Eliza Macmillan learned to be good at acting early on in her life. Acting kept her safe. Being able to act meant she could lie without getting caught, being able to act meant showing her pureblood mania parents that she agreed with them, even if she didn't. Being able to act meant staying safe. Being able to act meant Eliza didn't have to worry about being beaten like the rest of her siblings.
The unfortunate result of this, however, was a resting facade. A very painful facade that consumed every aspect of Eliza's life.
But then someone comes along. Someone no one would have expected.
Someone with a mischievous glint in his hazel eyes. Someone Eliza previously presumed to be an arrogant bully, who turned out to be the savior Eliza didn't realize she was looking for.
