Teaching is not just about the lessons we plan or the subjects we teach. It's about the everyday interactions that shape our students' lives in ways we might not always realize. My experience as a tutor during my master's program at NYU taught me this valuable lesson. Even though my role was limited to tutoring students in the hallway of a public school, I quickly learned that every encounter, every word, and every expression carries weight. As educators, we are not just teaching a class; we are influencing the young minds around us in ways we might not expect.
