The Moon Chronicles Book 1 Chosen

Many forces exist within our world that we believe to be impossible to understand, but I know better. the powers of the universe are strange, dangerous, and alien. but not impossible. I know this because I am one of those forces, My name is Lance Fallingstar. I'm a leader, and warrior.

I and many like me where chosen by The Moon Spirit to ally the natural forces, if one is pure of heart and deemed worthy. then we go through what's known as initiation. initiates must die by the chosen element of their trade only to enter what's widely known as The Second life. invisible to those we love we exist only to protect them.

some of us, like me are leaders. others, like the Nature Spirits are followers. and some, like the essences, little pieces of each elemental field and often aids to little things like gravity and oxygen are neutral. but if all was this balanced, things would be to simple.

We live in a place called the spirit world, a place outside the realm of normal death. and a boarder between The First Life World and The Void. the thing that sparked the greek legends of The Underworld and Tartarus. the civilizations of old knew how to fight such forces, but shortly after the dark ages they lost that knowledge when The Moon Spirit brought comfort to them and whether or not with good intentions threw off the ancient balance.

Angry at her husband's ignorance his wife and Mate Panthera founded The Order Of The Whispering Wind. a sort of counter course to her husband's creation of the legendary guardians who you may have heard of. The warriors became known as Whisper Winds and rightly so, But the fall of The Void's king was the death blow to the ancient balance, a spark to signify a new age.
