Alaiynna Carrera flew from New York to Outer Banks, after her parents died in a car accident. She stayed with her Aunt and Uncle and of course her baby cousin Kiara at the Carrera residence. Everyone was walking around egg shells around her and she loved it. It meant she had time to herself. But that was soon short-lived when her baby cousin filled her in on everything. She agreed to help, so she could escape. Escape herself, her thoughts, her feelings.

He had problems, he knew that, but because he was the King of the kooks, no one cared. He was rich, that was all that mattered and he believed that. Kooks looked up to him, worshipped him. He wasn't perfect, he knew that too. Almost every pogue he had ever known had pointed that out, 'He's a drug addict', 'He's a psycho', 'He needs daddy's love.' He hated pogues and everything they stood for. But then Alaiynna Carrera, cousin of Kiara Carrera- a pogue through and through- started making him feel things, things he had never felt before. She insulted him, sure, but never about his problems and that confused him to no end.

She was like a drug and he was addicted. She was toxic but in a good way. He was toxic too, but in the worst way. They insulted each other on every occasion but was it fueled by hate or something else? Their worlds were a mess, and the only thing they truly knew was that they had each other. Only each other.
