Elia is a recent college graduate who is moving to Sicily to further her education at the University of Palermo. Elia and her best friend find themselves in a life or death encounter at a nearby nightclub, waking up the next morning in an unfamiliar mansion.

Kimbra is a mafia boss who owns the nightclub and several other businesses in the area. She doesn't accept disrespect and everyone she works with knows not to cross her. Despite her ruthless nature and supposed inability to love, a possessive Kimbra becomes drawn towards Elia immediately after bringing her home and tearing her away from danger that one night at the bar.

With Kimbra's rival mafia searching for Elia, she is forced to remain under the watchful eye of Kimbra and her closest associates in their manor. How will the headstrong, smart-mouthed Elia handle being forced to live in close quarters with narcissistic Kimbra, and will her hatred remain, or will it shift into something else?
