Hymns of the Sunrise

In a small town, a curious young woman with a passion for art frequently visits the local museum. During a routine visit, she stumbles upon a secret wing, hidden from the public eye, filled with ancient and mysterious statues. Among them, nine sculptures stand out for their beauty and grandeur.
Intrigued, the young woman decides to touch each of the statues, and to her surprise, they come to life, revealing themselves to be the nine Muses. These inspiring goddesses, each with their own domain of artistic mastery, form a deep connection with the young woman.
Through conversations and advice, the Muses guide the protagonist on a journey of self-discovery. They help her understand her deepest feelings and to confess her love to her first love.

What is Project Codex?
It's an ambitious project aiming to create a collection of short stories, written by two authors, using the music groups and the vast conceptual universe of SM Entertainment as a foundation. It's like a big book of stories, where each tale is a door to a magical and inspiring world, built from the rich history and unique identity of each group in the company.

How does it work?
Imagine each SM Entertainment group as a unique universe, with its own mythologies, aesthetics, and narratives. Project Codex takes these elements and transforms them into captivating stories. For example, a story about the Girls' Generation universe as inspiration. In this particular one, we explore the idea that the nine members of the group are, in fact, reincarnations of the nine Muses.

A new perspective on the Muses
Instead of being distant figures from mythology, the Muses here gain familiar faces and personalities: Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona, and Seohyun. Each of them, with her individuality and talent, represents a facet of art and inspiration, just like the original Muses.
