Society is supposed to show equality to all. Society is supposed to be open and accept people through even the most extreme of cases. Society is supposed to non judging towards diversity. If this were true. Then why was I Outcasted for being different.

My name was Aiden, but now I am known as someone else. I was known as something else. As a child, my house caught on fire and I was not lucky enough to escape. Unconscious from the scorching heat, I was left as the building collapsed around me. But miracles can happen. And that day a miracle happened so extraordinary, that no one can even fathom what happened. I was found, more dead than alive, with no marks or burns and I could create heat on command.

That night, something happened to give me this blessing and something extraterrestrial happened and had given me a mysterious power. The power over fire.

The second and final short story in this little series I've construed. This little sequel plays off the many heavy themes and elements presented in the first story. Around 2K words in length( upon its completion), this wraps up my first little short story Duology. This story follows the personal view of two coastal survivors, young Charla & Denny, in the wake of a nuclear apocalypse. The story intends to depict a glimpse of communities of sea-faring people and the environment they are fighting to survive in. Between perils of sea and perils of land, will the coastal peoples obtain life or death?
