The air hung heavy with the scent of pine and the promise of a crisp autumn evening. Reymar, a lanky freshman with a mop of unruly brown hair, nervously adjusted his glasses as he watched Babygirl, the girl of his dreams, from across the crowded campus courtyard. She was laughing with her friends, her infectious smile lighting up her face. Reymar had been smitten with Babygirl since the first day of school. He'd seen her at church, her voice ringing out in the hymns, her eyes shining with a light that seemed to illuminate the entire sanctuary. He'd gathered the courage to ask her name, and when she replied, "Babygirl," he felt his heart skip a beat. He wanted to know everything about her, to learn her favorite color, her favorite song, her deepest fears. But he was too shy, too afraid of rejection. He watched her from afar, a silent observer, his heart aching with a longing he couldn't express.

So anyway I walked up to her and sat next to her telling her how beautiful she was when i heard the awful sound of my alarm clock...
