Arik lives in a world where power stones grant their bearers superhuman abilities-but can also lead to their downfall. Close to death, Arik is found by a Shadow Walker, who discovers the two stones within him and brings him to their secretive group. As Arik struggles to find his place in this new world and to master the dangerous powers within him, Teto prepares for one final uprising after twenty years of slow decay.
