"Dawson knew who Wren Brady was. He has always known of her, but has never actually known her. They attended the same High School, Mayview Prep. He was even once her waiter at Bernie's Burgers, but she payed no attention to him.
News traveled around quickly at Mayview, especially if you hung out with Rebecca Healy's group, and it didn't take long for people to find out Wren's Mother had killed herself. People felt sorry for her. Real sorry, actually. One guy bought her a bouquet of yellow lilies, and presented them to her in our English class. She accepted all of the gifts and the stares of pity, but never once said the reassuring words "It's alright. I'm alright." She was a mystery. A cold case.
Wren Brady was slowly unraveling, and we were all sitting back and watching, including me. That is, until June 6th, 2014. Graduation Day."
