Earth froze over around 2032. The humans that were able to were forced to move to a new planet. On that planet, there was a new, unidentified life form, creatures we call Light-beings. Here's what happened.

Humans had claimed as their own that which they thought to be theirs. Many worlds were discovered. However, they were worlds without life; habitable and yet uninhabited. The offspring of God could find no others like themselves. They then realized, and they regretted, the universe was theirs alone. In denying God they had sought of themselves as gods. And having rejected the Creator of all they possessed, they were now alone in the universe...or so they had thought.

The humans who landed on the little planet had nearly lost all hope until they stumbled upon unknown ancient ruins beneath the planet's surface where they discovered untold amounts of bizarre advanced technology. Earth and humanity were saved, and the little planet to thank for their salvation was named Umbra. Alice is a xenoarchaeologist, her passion in life has always been the study of ancient cultures, and now she has the opportunity to study the most ancient one of them all. The very one that modern Human civilization is now built on. Alice and her boyfriend accepted a posting on the famous and ancient ship, the U.S.S.A Umbra.

Shira is a 21 year old girl who is the youngest woman to become an astronaut who survived the alien attacks. But they aren't the only things Shira needs to worry about- Shira finds out that the surviving astronauts aren't who they say they are. On her mission to survive she meets a companion a bright blue creature that resembles a fox. Crescentia is an alien creature of Discordia who finds Shira fascinating and wants to help her escape with one condition... That Shira takes Crescentia with her. But Crescentia has to control her urges for human flesh before she does something she regrets. Can Shira and Crescentia escape this planet before they end up left for dead?
