Dagger is half dog and half human.
Now that that detail is out of the way, Dagger has had a pretty rough life. After his mother is put into the hospital, she's lost to the world, transferred from hospital to hospital with no contact to her son. Desperate to find her, he ventures off to seek his mother's whereabouts to continue on with his life. But that doesn't stop the government from tracking him down to find out what he's really after.
