The Government has started expirimenting on humans and turning them into machine like superhumans. Rick Jason (R.X.) escapes after being injected with a seyrum giving him superpowers but escapes before it has taken over his mind. He runs off to find this group of superpowered teens like himself called The Vertex they all have one simular goal. Take down a government created organization made specifically to keep The Vertex busy, The Sidearms.
