Takes place during the Newborn Era of the Gameverse. The Diamond Cutters - Tangle the Lemur, Whisper the Wolf, and Lanolin the Sheep - are a rising sector of the Mobius Kids Next Door. Following the legacy of fallen operatives, these three experience struggles of war, grief, and love as they learn to heal old wounds and pursue a future where they can be happy.
This story serves to adapt the Sonic IDW characters into the Gameverse. This story describes and incorporates events and scenes from the comics, but they are reimagined to emphasize characterization. Certain other elements are rewritten to follow Gameverse continuity.

When their conflicts collide, Shadow and Whisper (along with Tangle) team up to take down Mimic and find out they have more things in common than they realize. Unfortunately, that includes dealing with trauma. And as Mimic tries to use their traumas against them, can they continue to be friends? Or will their memories end up tearing their friendship and themselves apart? Enter Ariem the Dreamweaver, a ram-like sheep with dream-trapping powers, who joins the quest to rescue Vertera by diving into her dream. Together, they traverse ten dream stages, facing a final boss and battling Vertera's deepest fears-abandonment, loneliness, depression, homelessness, and being an orphan-to awaken the princess and restore love to Cherry Valley.Concluida
