This story is about a girl named Mila who was really good friends with another girl named Alice. Everything changes on Milas 11th birthday. Mila tells Alice that she loves her and came out as a lesbian to her mother. The Monday after Mila told Alice, Alice turns on her and starts hanging out with the "popular" group and starts to bully Mila. Mila tends to be an optomist about Alice and only sees the good in her, but after 6 years of not talking to eachother they get paired up in a english class video project and MIlas past starts to get in the way of her future.
