River Mills was an average 16 (almost 17) year old girl. I mean if you call blue hair, earrings that cascaded down her ears from top to bottom, an eyebrow piercing, and a tattoo or three, average. She would constantly be picked on because of this. The girls of the school called her names, edging on their jock boyfriends to do the same. She would be called 'emo' or 'freak' and be pushed into lockers. But she dealt with it. Most of the comments just flew over her head. River was just starting her junior year of high school. Of course, like many, she just wished it could be over soon.
But one day while trying not to kill everyone in English class, he walked in. The new kid, starting a month into the school year. And of course because River has all the luck in the world, they hate each other's guts. No one knows why or how they started hating each other so much, they just did. And they just so happen to have almost every class together. What a great way to start the year.
