Barnacles was a kind gentle bear but despite being that people were afraid to go near him. When he first became captain his crew would keep there distance everyone except tweak she was by his side and always made him laugh and in return he protected her physically and emotionally. Over time there bond grew into something more than friendship but they couldn't be together as there love was forbidden but for them they a supportive people behind them.
