Blistering Obsession

Jackson was ambitious, had dreams, and all that shit. He had the kind of future everyone could see miles away. Captain of the hockey team, strings of internships, teachers at the tips of his fingers with recommendations. He was sure to make something of himself, everyone knew it.

But fuck. There was him.

He can't breathe when he's around. His body tenses around him. His face gets all hot and red when he's close by. He makes him forget everything about rationality. He can ignore how he's reckless, a fuck boy, blunt- all because of that damn smile.

It was a little pathetic.

But so was crying whenever he remembered his dead goldfish, so he didn't really know where the line was drawn.
