Have you ever wondered what it's like to die? I was 13 when my mother and I were hit by a drunk driver. I broke 6 ribs, my femur, and my forearm. I also dislocated my pelvis. Also, 4 of my broken ribs punctured my left lung. I died in surgery for 9 minutes. I am now 16 and lucky to be alive. I tend to live an extraordinary second life.

My true life story of suffering from a rare autoimmune disease of the liver, its diagnosis, prognosis, treatments, its debilitating impact on my life and how I learned, and am still learning, to cope with it day to day. Hopefully, this'll help someone dealing with something similar, because there is, in my eyes, not much worse than long term pain and long term illness, especially when there's not someone nearby who understands its debilitating nature.
