He was evil, and it was easy to see.
She was too, but there was more goodness to see.
He never saw the light in anything.
She saw the light in many things.
They hated each other.
For reasons that seemed childish.
He was the one that wanted a new world, to change everything that was ever known.
She liked the way that things were, and if something happened it happened.
To who knew him, he was hated.
To who knew her, she was loved.
The most hated man in the world had a secret that didn't like being a secret and made sure that she didn't. The Evil Zeref had a sister that very few knew about, and soon enough, many more people would know about her.
A/N: I want everyone to know that none of this is even close to canon. This story follows the timeline of Fairy Tail, but the story is completely different. So, please understand that this is a story and doesn't follow close to any of the real story of Fairy Tail. Thank you.
Also that I started this long before I had ever read the manga or got far enough into the anime to understand some of the properties of Zeref and what has been as of March 5, 2019, the anime. Please keep that in mind. Thank you.

Two Lost Souls
Natsu Dragneel is 17 years old, he is in his final year at Fairy Tail High. Natsu is closed off, detached, rude and generally doesn't like being around people. He refuses to let anyone else in except those he couldn't shut out. There's a new transfer student and he just can't seem to get rid of her and he's not sure if he's annoyed or happy with her presence. Lucy moves to Magnolia transferring to Fairy Tail High hoping to get a fresh start after the last few rough years. She makes some fast friends who she seems to treat like family, she even reunites with a family member she hadn't seen in years. However she also bumps into the coldest man she's every met and something about him just seems off and maybe nostalgic. It's confusing, along with frustrating and it seemed like whatever she was running from was trying to catch up to her. The two teens both feel so lost, like they just don't know what to do anymore. Natsu feels broken and unworthy of anything, he doesn't even know why he's still alive somedays. Lucy is terrified and stressed keeping so many secrets sometimes she doesn't even know what's real anymore knowing that pretending to be happy doesn't make her so. The two can't seem to escape each other and they start to think maybe they aren't supposed to, maybe they were meant to guide each other. Find peace together no longer being two lost souls.
