Plus a terrible secret that keeps leaving clues for them, will they have the strength to survive together as a team or will one of them be betrayed by the other and left to die.

I walked out of my room and closed the door. I started to go downstairs where I could hear my siblings talking. I was almost to the stairs when I heard a door open and close.
