"You want to know me? You want to see who I am Allie?!" Standing there in silence as the tension became thicker with every passing moment. His shoulders were hunched forward and his hands were clenched by his side. His tall brooding frame towered over mine but I had refused to back down.

"Why can't this be enough for you! Why can't I be enough for you like this!"

"I never once told you that you weren't enough for me Will! I'm just.." I could feel the tears prick at my eyes.

"Allie it's going to be okay, I won't let anything happen I promise." He wrapped his arm around my waist pulling me close against his chest. I inhaled his woodsy pine scent feeling myself calm down already.

"You shouldn't make promises that you can't keep." I mumbled into his shirt softly as his fingers combed gently through my hair.

"Don't worry I know darling just know you are safe when you are with me."
