Formally known as What Is War, this is a story about a mutant who woke up in a hole with no memory, and no way of escape. All she has is a noise that keeps pounding like the beat of a drum. What is the noise? Where did she come from? Who was she before memory loss?

He was a mind reader the medicine cat said. He knew what would happen, but he excused them as dreams. Or more like nightmares. He never settled into his place, for his mind was slowly poisoned as the whispers chewed and gnawed their way into his mind. Mousespirit is born into perfection. Everyone was happy. She was happy. Until cats around her were slowly going insane, unstable. It was an infection. As if they were being controlled. Ever since the new flower, things weren't perfect anymore.
